Retail Customer Service Shipper

OVERVIEW

Role Purpose: Responsible for fast and efficient product delivery, while maintaining and executing the highest standard of food safety and customer service for consumers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

1. Verifies quantities on incoming/outgoing shipments using purchase orders and packing slips.
2. Packs goods to be shipped or brought to customer vehicles.
3. Bag and pack fresh poultry based on customer’s order; weigh product with correct product skew and price with accurate product cost.
4. Unpacks goods received including daily shipments for daily restocking, receive and count all inventory of fresh poultry and counter products, ensuring all frozen products are received and stocked in the freezer, and product management procedures are followed.
5. Maintains a safe, clean, work environment in coolers and back loading area, as well as an orderly appearance in the customer distribution area and parking lot. Ensure the proper handling and storage of products and follow proper sanitation procedures when cleaning equipment and cases.
7. Responsible for ensuring each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, and supporting and executing superior customer service.
8. Ensure the safe handling of frozen and fresh products, complying with sanitation and safety standards at all times.
9. Maintain equipment and report any issues to the Supervisor or Manager when the issue is discovered.

a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
